HEALTH AND SAFETY CONDITIONS
Your safety at Macmerry Men’s Shed is of the upmost importance to us and we require all our members to leave with the same number of body parts they arrived with.
When working in the Shed you will only undertake activities when you know you are competent to do so, without endangering yourself or others. You will not undertake any activities if to do so would be contrary to any professional or medical advice you have received. You will only operate tools and machinery after you have received suitable and appropriate training from one of the Macmerry Men’s Shed supervisors or trainers. Any faults with tools or machinery will be reported immediately to the supervisor on duty. You will be aware that any issues regarding safety at work in the Shed is the sole responsibility of the duty supervisor.
If there were to be an accident we need to make sure you receive the best possible care immediately. We ask that you complete the application form as accurately as possible.
Please be assured that any information you provide will be treated in confidence. The information is held securely and subject to the Data Protection Act 1998.
If you have any questions complete this form and click Send. Alternatively, you can send a regular email and we’ll get back to you as quickly as we can.
If you would prefer to make an application in person, please pop along to our Shed. We’re open every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Macmerry Village Hall on Westbank Road.
