Macmerry Men’s Shed opened its doors to the community in 2013. The driving force behind our success is our members, and our Shed is one of the most welcoming places in East Lothian.

Everybody here has a story and their own personal reasons for joining. Some members were professional tradesmen during their working lives, while others had never picked up a tool until they arrived at the Shed. Many still don’t pick up a tool, instead they come for a chat or to have a few games of pool. We don’t judge, we make friendships. We’ve created a space where you feel like you belong. Whatever your background, we support each other any way we can.

We’re open every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Macmerry Village Hall on Westbank Road.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve never picked up a hammer or used a drill. Some of our long-term members never have. They come for a chat, to have a few games of pool and to enjoy a tea or coffee.

You will always be made very welcome in our Shed and we guarantee that even before you’ve picked up a tool, you will have made new friends. You can do as much or as little here as you like. Whatever feels comfortable.
